Assistant Cable Access Director
Job Group: CSEA Annual Salary: $43,060 – $58,439
The Town of Greenburgh is recruiting for an Assistant Cable Access Director to join our Cable Access team. Working
under the supervision of the Cable Access Director this position is responsible for assisting in all phases of production of
public and governmental access cable programs for the Town of Greenburgh. Must be willing to work a flexible work
schedule including evenings and weekends in order to live stream and record Town meeting and events as they occur.
The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of scriptwriting, audio, lighting, cameras, sound, graphics, and
editing. Candidate should have the ability to produce and direct productions on location and in the studio.
Examples of Work (Illustrative Only):
 Assists the Director with administrative and technical tasks and in the overall operation of the local cable access
programs for the Town.
 With the Cable Access Director facilitates the livestreaming and recording of Board Meetings through the Town
Website.
 Assists in the management of broadcast studio and editing room for community; keeps equipment, video supplies
and facility space neat organized and functional.
 Reviews schedules and prepares daily programming for telecast, schedules editing rooms, portable equipment, and
television studio for use by community, schools and residents.
 Trains interns and volunteers in proper production techniques and use of both portable and studio television
production equipment.
Minimum acceptable training and experience: Possession of a high school or equivalency diploma and either (a) a
Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Broadcasting, Film and Television Media, Educational Technology or a
related field and one (1) year of experience in public access television, telecommunications, media operations or
production, broadcasting or media instruction. OR (b) five (5) years of experience as indicated above.
Substitution: A Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Broadcasting, Film and Television Media, Educational
Technology or a related field may be substituted for the work experience above.
