Obstetician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) – WCHC Greenburgh

The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing, and monitoring diseases and provides general care to women.
Essential Duties:
- Provides care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postpartum periods.
- Diagnoses, treats, and monitors diseases, disorders, and conditions.
- Prescribes appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy.
- Performs pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams.
- Introduces prenatal patients to our Pediatric Department for well-baby care.
- Collaborates and consults with other medical and non-medical personnel.
- Effectively monitors patients’ progress throughout treatment plan and care and provides continuous improvement on patient outcomes.
- Educates patients on the importance of treatment plans and communicates side effects and risks of medications prescribed.
- Educates patients on disease prevention and reproductive health.
- Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills.
- Conducts routine check-up appointments and maintains follow-ups throughout patient care.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication with patients.
- Able to multitask and manage assigned projects and tasks as directed.
- Conducts mood and emotional well-being assessments during postpartum appointments.

- Must possess or obtain a valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Must perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree is required.
- Licensed in the State of New York as an OB/GYN. DEA Certification is required.
- Prior experience as an OB/GYN is preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient-centered leadership and direction.
- Must have emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity, and the compassion to work with patients who may be stressed, anxious, or challenging.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Must demonstrate detailed, effective writing/documentation and verbal skills.
